buckaroos. Real cowboys still earn a wage full-time in the

American cattle industry. Come and view and participate in the

The 71 Ranch is in the authentic heart of the real West!
Imagine the freedom of riding your horse over 38,000 acres of
privately owned ranchland, driving cattle across the open range
under endless blue skies with the scent of sagebrush drifting up
from each step your horse takes. As deer and antelope scatter
across the trail in front of you, you look up to follow an eagle
or red tailed hawk soaring overhead. . .the resounding soft call of a mother to her calf…the deliberate
quiet movement of the horse that awakens the sage that reaches
out desperately grabbing for your legs begging you then quickly
slips behind you silent and still. As you move towards the small
group of cows grazing, their calves doing their best to hide
from you despite your lofty vantage point, they break and run at
the approach of your horse. The saddle creaks as you turn your
horse’s head to start the next bunch moving. Above the shaded
brim of your hat the blueness of the early morning sky fights
away the gray of the dawn and you’re right where you want to be,
surrounded by the peace and quiet somewhere in the middle of
38,000 privately owned acres in the most clear air that the
northeast corner of Nevada has to offer. Somewhere…a meadowlark.
Your horse points out the small group of deer grazing on the
next hillside before your eye catches them.
You should’ve been a cowboy. . .
What are you waiting for?
